AI ChatBot Will Act as Your New Chief of Staff

AI is slowly taking over the world and we are letting it do so. The most prominent example of this is the launch of an AI chatbot that helps groups to talk effectively. The Company, which has launched this AI, is the Mailbox. In the past, the Company launched a mobile app. The Company has over $12 million funding from Designer Fund, SV Angel, Aspen, and Dropbox’s Drew Houston. The startup has been testing this AI in 50 different organizations in the U.S.

Mailbox and Navigator Cofounder, Gentry Underwood, states, “Many people and companies are using this navigator, including startups, academic institutions, and large four-figure-e-persons organizations. A Navigator is present everywhere you have meetings.”

The Mailbox was a mobile administration system used in the past by popular companies, like Apple and Gmail. It was launched in 2013. At that time, the Apple store didn’t have many choices that helped in designing effectively, like the Mailbox. Due to this, the capital startup called Orchestra boomed. It attracted many individuals and companies.

Dropbox paid over $100 million to carry Mailbox and its 13 member Staff. The Dropbox CEO said that their plan was to “help Mailbox reach new audiences quickly.”

Underwood recalls that time is a great opportunity. He states, “There were still many opportunities to change how emails were used on different devices.”

Just two years later, disaster happened. Dropbox made an unpopular decision to end the Mailbox. They also gave the reason that they now wanted to focus on new and better instruments. Underwood says that this was a hard time for the Company. He also said that he understood the decision of Dropbox and they had every right to do it.

In 2016, Mailbox staff started looking for new ventures, and the result was Navigator. Navigator aims to revamp conferences and meetings. Underwood says, “We knew from our experience from Mailbox that great processes were a way to make the team more creative. After Mailbox, we wanted that our team works as a coherent unit. This new AI chatbot, Navigator, will be a great addition to your team that will help you in meetings. It will also make you work more efficiently.”

A 2019 report, published by Doodle, states that 71% of companies waste their time in pointless conferences. There is also a poor organization of these conferences. Doodle estimates that around $400 billion are lost each year in poorly organized conferences. However, conferences won’t end because they are the basic need of every Company.

An enterprise, Zoom, is making video conferences easy. Its main goal is to make the enterprise quite simple. Many companies are availing from Zoom. This shows that companies are looking for productive technologies to make their lives easy.

Aspen has prioritized the design in constructing Navigator. “We approached the problem of teams working as a design problem”, states Underwood, “We tried over 200 different prototypes of many ways for Navigator to be effective in a team. Therefore, this concept of a virtual teammate started to make sense.”

Navigator’s focus is on staff conferences and one-on-one meetings. It learns the subject from individuals and then organizes a full-fledged agenda. Staff can use Navigator to seize important takeaways, which the Company can use afterward. Navigator also keeps a check on the staff to make sure that they have done their tasks.

“You can refer to the Navigator as a chief of staff who helps meetings run effectively. People will feel respected and their voices valued. This will create an overall friendly atmosphere in the Company.”

Right now, Navigator is working along with Microsoft Office 365, Slack and Google’s G Suite. Soon, it will integrate with others, like Trello and Asana. For now, there is no subscription fee for Navigator. However, Underwood states that they will include subscription fees for the product, later this year.

Navigator is a great addition to any Company. However, you should remember that this AI chatbot is more than just another tool. It is the most valuable team member of your Company.
