Exciting Things to Do While Visiting the Bahamas!

A visit to the Bahamas in the Caribbean seaside is definitely the best way to spend your vacation. From the breathtaking pink sanded beaches to the calm turquoise blue sea water, the Bahamas is by far one of the most loved paradise islands. This destination has been known to be ideal for family vacations and comes highly recommended as honeymoon destinations. Additionally, this is because it comes with many exciting adventures that the visiting guests can do during their visit.

The Bahamas Island is graced with a whole selection of state of the art hotels and villas. But the Bahamas condos for rent are perhaps the hot cake in the entire lot. Despite their cost lying a bit on the higher side as compared to hotels and villas, a week here will have you begging to stay a little bit longer. The condo packages come with a whole set of goodies on their list. You get to enjoy your very own chauffeur who will take you on tours around the island. The support staff are available at your beck and call your whole stay. Imagine waking up to the warm sunrise, and on your balcony is a table set with an entire five-course breakfast meal. Exciting, right?

Below is a list of the things you can do in the Bahamas outside of the condo.

1.    Site Seeing

The Bahamas comes with a whole lot of amazing sites that might tickle your fancy. One should visit the Atlantis, Paradise Island resort which is home to an extensive golf course, a casino, and multiple restaurants at the bay. Here you can take a dip into one of their swimming pools, take a beachside walk, or enjoy the world’s largest open-air marine habitat. If you have never seen sharks, piranhas, eels, and stingrays, then this is the place to be. You may also visit one or all of the three National parks the Bahamas has to offer. The Lucayan National Park, for one, is famous for its Gold Rock Beach. It’s home to two of the world’s most extended underwater limestone caves systems that guests are allowed to explore under watchful guidance.

2.    Diving and Snorkeling

The sea floor of the Bahamas Island has a multitude of reefs, sinkholes, and underwater caves, which is home to a variety of aquatic sea life. Sea turtles, stingrays, dolphins, and sharks are some of the aquatic life found here. This rich underwater scenery, therefore, calls for a good dive or a snorkeling excursion for the visiting guests. Most beach resorts on the island offer basic training on both activities before one gets into the actual sport. This is because one needs to be aware of the dangers beforehand, as most of these animals are hostile, and accidents are prone to happen.

3.    Cruises and Water Tours

The most famous water tour excursion is the Exuma Powerboat Adventure. The adventure covers visits along the Bahamas waters with stopovers on several islands and cays. During these trips, one gets to experience the whole panorama of the country’s scenery and wildlife. Overnight cruising trips are also a thing to include on your bucket list. The cruise could run from one night to week-long durations. The guests also get to visit the numerous smaller islands on the Bahamas coastline. They enjoy nights of parties, mornings of buffet breakfast, sun basking massage sessions as well as indoor casino experiences. All of this away from land.

4.    Swimming with the Dolphins

Known as one of the most intelligent animals on the planet, dolphins are also the friendliest of the whole sea population. Therefore, a swim with them is both safe and exciting. As opposed to sharks and stingrays, you can swim and play with the spotted dolphins in the Bahamas. This will remain as an unforgettable experience and an excellent way to spend your money. Most boat tours and cruises passing through the blue lagoon include this activity in the itinerary to attract more tourist.

5.    Swimming with Pigs

Yes, you read right, pigs! Unprovoked, pigs are quite friendly animals, and they also love to let loose and take swimming sessions in the ocean water. They live on the uninhabited Big Major Cay shores, and no one seems to know where they came from. Although some believe that they were left on the cay by sailors. A swim alongside this friendly animal seems unlikely. But remember, you should do at least one thing a day that scares you. Then, why not swim with the pigs?
