10 Life Changing Lessons From Confucius!

You get to live only ONE life. Make fullest out of it!

It is always important to know the source of information, especially when those are words of wisdom. Confucius was a Chinese philosopher, teacher and political figure who put great emphasis on Personal growth, social relationships, justice and sincerity.

1: It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop

Success is guaranteed for those who have power to remain determine in achieving their goals by consistently striving for success. The journey would never be easy. There will be a time when nothing works and that’s where you must not stop, instead take baby steps rather giving up on yourself and you dream.

2: Never form a friendship with a man who is not better than you

The secret to grow as a person is forming a friendship with people who can help you move forward in life. Unfortunately, people nowadays always relate it to being successful in the monetary terms.

In reality, real personal growth happens with having experiences in life that can never be traded for money.

Surround yourself with people who have different perspective from you and those with more Knowledge because wisdom is the most precious weapon one could ever equip himself with.

3: When anger rises, think of the consequences

I am sure there has been a time in your life when you ruined a relationship just because you couldn’t control over your anger and said things to the other person that can never be taken back.

You regret it and it hurts I know!

But its time you learn the lesson and do not repeat mistakes. Specifically, in family, we often take our loved ones granted and do not think before hurting them. Make a promise to yourself that this will be the case in your from today. Your family is with you today, it won’t be tomorrow. Cherish every moment with them!

4: When it is obvious that goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, but adjust the action steps

Research has proven that 4 out 5 individuals give up on their dreams because in short-term things don’t work their way.  In fact, for the rest of their lives they never take responsibility of not striving hard and blame the world.

You cannot run from yourself. It’s better to face and fix it today rather regretting tomorrow!

Having realization is important that not all factors can be controlled by you. So it is better to keep a plan B. It’s as simple as taking another route to reach your destination. It might be rough, but trust me it is worth it.

5: If you hate a person, then you are defeated by them

Being jealous is the core nature of human beings. In childhood, you learn that not everything can be granted to you instantly when you wished for it. This made you experience the feeling of jealousy against the person you who got what he wanted. But, it must not be turned into hate. Hate is an extremely negative feeling which can hinder our self-growth. Therefore, keep a moderate behavior and you one can defeat you or exploit your emotions.

6: What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others

Every individual has been blessed with unique characteristics that set him apart from all people in the world. Yet our education system and society train the minds to run in the rat race. Such unfortunate practices have made brilliant minds have become dubious about their own talent.

Remember, there is going to be no other you again!

Why should you try to fit in someone else frame of life? It’s your competition with yourself. You must only seek to be a better person than you are today.

7: Wherever you go, go with all your heart

The battle between mind and heart can be exhausting. Making hard decisions are part of life and one can never find escape from them. You can be truly satisfied only when there is not a contradiction between your personal desire and what you do. Whole self should be devoted in achieving personal and professional goals.

8: Give instructions only to those people who seek knowledge after they have discovered their ignorance

Every man cannot know everything. This a golden rule to remember. Only a fool believes to know everything and that makes him lose the ability to gain knowledge from others. Be aware who you make your partner in knowledge. Their attitude will influence yours as well.

People with thirst to learn through new experiences make the best companions.

9: Looking at small advantages prevents great affairs from being accomplished

According to opportunity cost, every choice requires forging an alternate choice. It is important to have a holistic approach to set longterm goals. If vision is clear, paths can be made. Direction can be set. Life makes sure to distract you by showing short-term gains of giving up your long-term goals.  Always make decision for yourself about what’s best for you.

Remember, all that glitters is not gold!

10: If they spit at you behind your back, it means you’re ahead of them

You cannot always keep everyone satisfied. When two or more individuals are involved in a scenario, at some point the conflicts or disagreements become inevitable. As per circumstances and what is right, you should have clear understanding of your own intentions, goals and stance. Conflicts are not supposed to be destructive always. Accept that not everyone will agree with you and make peace with it, if you are on the right side. If they talk behind your back, let them and focus on your goals.

Justice will surely prevail!
