Former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, has attacked the Nigeria Broadcasting Fee (NBC) after it suspended the license of Daar Communications Plc., owners of Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Ray Power.
NBC Director-Normal, Modibbo Kawu, saying the suspension on Thursday, mentioned the motion was taken for failure of the broadcasting station to abide by the broadcasting code.
Nigerians have appeared unimpressed with the sanction, calling it an assault on the media.
Ezekwesili, a former schooling minister, mentioned on Friday by way of Twitter with an hooked up copy of NBC sanction letter to AIT, that the fee desires AIT to be just like the state-owned Nigerian Tv Authority (NTA) in its strategy to issues regarding the authorities.
