After a long week of “Turning Clicks into Clients,” the Google Girls take a break from all things Digital by spending our weekends out-and-about in the city of Philadelphia. One of the best things about city living is all the opportunities and events that the city has to offer each Weekend, especially in the summertime. From street festivals and concerts to pop-up beer gardens and local attractions, the Google Girls have the official guide to your weekend in the City of Brotherly Love.

Parks on Tap Pop-up Beer Garden (July 5th – July 9th)
For those who do not know, Parks on Tap is Philadelphia’s first and very own traveling beer garden. Each week the pop-up beer garden relocates to a new venue, aiming to unite the Philadelphia community as well as give back to its neighborhood parks. Food, beer, wine, and snacks are provided to visitors along with outdoor lounges and hammocks. As if that wasn’t enough… the event is dog-friendly! This weekend Parks on Tap is traveling to the Shofuso Japanese House & Garden for a weekend filled with family friendly activities and outdoor events. Parks on Tap’s festive environment is the perfect way to spend your summer night!

Pairings on the Parkway (July 6th)
Pairings on the Parkway is a BYOB event hosted by the Center City District that offers live music every Thursday. This week’s artist Joy Ike will be performing at Sister Cities Park located along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The event will be sponsored by Chaddsford Winery for all your wine needs along with a special summer grilling menu by Logan Square Café. The Children’s Discovery Garden will also be offering extended hours for the event, so be sure to bring the whole family for a low-key night filled with music and fun!

Waterfront Sessions at Harbor Park (July 6th)
Waterfront Sessions Live Music Series at Spruce Street Harbor Park is returning for another summer of live music! Waterfront Sessions is offered to patrons every Thursday night in the park. The series lineup includes a variety of local artists from Philadelphia itself. For this week of the live music series, the artists are Louie Louie with The Whips. Be sure to stop by Harbor Park to enjoy the live music and beer specials!

Stroll the Street (July 6th)
Every Thursday, Manayunk hosts Stroll the Street which provides patrons with an enjoyable night full of live music, local food trucks, and vendors along Main Street. Some of Manayunk’s restaurants participating in the event offer specials, discounts, and other promotions for visitors. This week’s theme is “6th of July” Family Picnic Night. So if you didn’t get enough of the holiday on the 4th, you have another chance to celebrate with music, picnic food favorites, and a patriotic bike parade.

Mad Decent Block Party (July 7th)
Mad Decent Block Party is returning to Philadelphia yet again for another summer concert at Festival Pier. The lineup includes major headliners like Diplo, Flosstradamus, 4B, and MORE! Interested? Don’t worry! It is not too late to get tickets.

Yoga Day at the Phillies (July 8th)
Calling all yogis! The second annual Yoga Day at the Philadelphia Phillies is returning again this Saturday. The day begins at 9:00 am with an hour-long yoga session in the outfield of Citizens Bank Park. Included in the yoga package is a ticket to the Phillies game that afternoon against the San Diego Padres. Namaste!
