Xiaomi has today finally launched its latest mid-range smartphone dubbed as Xiaomi Mi 6X in China. The smartphone comes with the price tag of 1499 Yuan ($238/ Rs. 15882 approx. ) for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, 1799 Yuan ($285/ 19019 approx.) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at 19,99 Yuan ($317/ Rs. 21154 approx.). The smartphone is now available for registration and will go on sale starting April 27th. It comes in Cherry Pink, Red Flame, Sand Gold, Glacier Blue and Black colour options
Talking about the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 6X runs on MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It sports a 5.99”Full-HD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) 18:9 display. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled AIE and Adreno 512 GPU. It offers 4GB/ 6GB of LPDD4X RAM along with 64GB of internal storage and the higher variant offers 6GB of LPDD4X RAM along with 128GB of internal storage.
For photography, the Xiaomi Mi 6X comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12MP primary Sony IMX486 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 1.25-micron pixel size and a 20MP secondary Sony IMX376 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 2-micron pixel size, the secondary camera does 4-to-1 pixel binning to provide better low light shots. On the front, it has a 20MP AI-powered Sony IMX376 sensor with AI Beauty and AI night self-timer. The front camera also comes with facial recognition technology to unlock the device. Both the cameras come accompanied by a LED flash. The smartphone comes with AI integration as well that will enhance the photos for over 200 scenes including 12 different portrait modes clicked by the users. Also, it can perform real-time translations for English, French, German Japanese, Korean and Indian languages.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is fueled by a 3010mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C port. Notably, there is no 3.5mm audio jack so on the phone. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back.
