After a long delay, finally Apple HomePod is now available to preorder, but it is still limited to United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom in the initial phase. Preorders had begun yesterday, while the first deliveries to customers estimated to arrive Friday, February 9.
HomePod is available in Space Gray and White for $349(Rs. 22186 approx) in the United States, $499(Rs. 25729 approx) in Australia, and £319(Rs. 28742 approx) in the United Kingdom.
To recall, Apple HomePod is a 7” smart speaker covered with fabric. Apart from streaming Apple Music, HomePod control internet-of-things devices, providing updates on your calendar, and answering general questions. It can also send your messages, set timers, play podcasts, check the news and weather. This all become possible with built-in Siri, Apple’s digital assistant.
The HomePod is powered by Apple’s A8 chip and is equipped with spatial awareness and Apple-engineered audio technology, including seven tweeters and a 4” woofer that Apple suggests will provide sound that will “rock the house.”
While Apple starts taking preorders of HomePod in United States, Australia, and United Kingdom, there is still no information when it will be available in India.
