Footprints of God

Cosmic consciousness

Well, Christians often say God is invisible and a supernatural reality that exists side by side with our common natural reality. But if God is supernatural and responsible for our natural reality, then He must have left footprints on our natural universe. Clearly we can see this in the cosmos.

The Bible explains that the world was made orderly from its erstwhile chaotic state. Hence the framework of the world on which the orderly world arrives is chaos. This is very evident in physics. The macro particles are created by quantum entities. If order implies a sense of predictability, the quantum entities are in a random state because you cannot predict much about them with certainty, the uncertainty principle is evidence of this. From this chaotic initial entities (sub atomic particles), the predictable universe is made. Yeah, classical physics deals with the macro particles, and we can predict them because they run the course of physical laws like gravity. We can know when an eclipse would occur, etc. The world is indeed an orderly realm made up of initial quantum particles which are unpredictable. Just as the Bible states.

Now, when we talk of order, what comes to our mind is often conscious effort and not random chance. This cosmic consciousness responsible for our cosmos is what we call God.

"For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God". ROMANS 1:20.
