Plan your New York Adventures Around Some of These Amazing Spots!

Hey there beautiful dolls! I’m back again with a follow up on my New York city trip! I can’t help but say I had a fabulous time and I’m truly delightful to finally have a proper camera to share all of my highlights with you. Haha may even move some pics over to the gram For most of you who don’t know much about New York (almost no one ever) it is one of the most vibrant and cultural melting pots, not to mention one of the banging fashion capitals in the world next to London…Shoutout to all my awesome UK blogger babes! *Whoop Whoop*

Okay so if you’re wondering why I’m popping up all over your feed or maybe even Bloglovin’ today, it’s to share some of the city highlights. If you’ve never been be sure to check out some of these places so you can fill your gallery with amazing pics and have even more beautiful memories of a lifetime! Sit back and watch me take the city by storm…in this post of course lol!

1. You Can’t Not Visit Time Square!

Oh what a sight! I must warn you Time Square is a crowded area and you MUST be very vigilant (always be aware of your surroundings when travelling abroad PERIOD.) Times Square always seems like it’s crazy rush hour especially around holidays but trust that it truly comes alive with all the scenery and characters roaming the street…Lol no literally, tons of Disney characters are around for you to take pics and other famous impersonators. There are gorgeous tabloids up and to be fair some of the best and most expensive adverts.

**Note: If you’re a blogger reading this you MUST get a photo in the middle of the road to capture the New York essence and city lights! It’s only crazy and just haha!

2. Visit a Broadway Show

Yes, Yes, Yes!! A thousand times yes! I mean the talent will take you by storm and you can see why their training is so intense. If you are definitely a fan of musicals and dancing that makes you believe in magic, book your tickets now! Even if you never thought much about going, it is a great family outing and once you book early you can get great seats for a decent price.

I was lucky when Snugga (my best best friend of course) decided to keep making my trip awesome and copped us some great seats to The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall! They’re as phenomenal as they are beautiful. The famous ladies known for their stunning legs put on quite the Christmas show. I wish I could drop a couple videos below for you to peep but WordPress isn’t cooperating

3. Grand Central Station!

Don’t be fooled, this station is WAY more than your typical train station. It has loads of treats, mini stores from your fave brands, I mean there’s even an Apple station in there and you can’t forget the glorious big clock centered in the main hall that keeps the time of all the trains in the city. I may be having a little nerdy moment but I thought that was pretty trippy :O There is also a huge Zodiac painting in the ceiling that leaves you mesmerized.

The station keeps expanding and I can’t wait to discover more spots when I visit next. While I was there I found cool boards introducing a new setup called Tartinery that will be opening soon.

From the looks of the boards I can tell it will be very chic. There is also a doughnut stall called The Doughnut Plant which is famous for their yummy square doughnuts and one of my fave bakeries has a dainty little corner there too, Magnolia! I was truly elated when my aunt got my birthday chocolate temptation cuppy cake from there! They even gave me a candle and it made for great pics!

4. Rockefeller Center!

I can see why it’s such a buzz around Christmas!! The tree while lit is STUNNING! The lights and decorations are a spectacle and even inside the center was full of holiday spirit!

5. Ice Skating

It requires a lot of balance and actually learning to move forward (aha I only seem to know how to go backwards tbh ) I will say brace yourself to fall if you’ve never done it before but most importantly have fun!! There will be advanced skaters out there but don’t feel intimated and try not to look at the gorund lol or you will definitely end up there. Some really nice rings to try are Rockefeller Center (when not too busy and mind you it will be a bit pricier than some of the others), Wollman Rink and most certainly Bryant Park! If you’e more of a ski person try Thunder Ridge Ski Resort, NY or Mountain Creek, NJ.

6. Lookout for Artist Installations Around the City!

So there’s loads of talent in New York and it’s pretty epic that you get to see a lot of their work, and not just in museums and galleries. For upcoming holidays, artists and their teams get to put up loads of cool fixtures around the city which are great for photo opps!

7. Shop Your Heart Out…Or At Least Visit A Few Malls or Stores!

Obviously I can’t love fashion and not visit the malls and such and try to cop holiday sales, which I got PLENTY of and can’t wait to share more fashion segments with you (hold tight while I revamp my blog too!) So one of my fave places was SOHO, almost everything is in SOHO, and that’s perfect! There’s 86th Street which has both SEPHORA and ULTA!!! *eeeek*

You can’t forget Macy’s on 34th Street *waits for miracle to happen* nor Broadway, where another fave of mine, Urban Outfitters, lies in the Garment District. Their store is hella rustic with the right amount of cool.

You most certainly can’t forget 5th Ave, home to Victoria Secret flagship store. There you have the VS Show museum exhibiting an array of fab fantasy bras and wings, along with a chance to be an angel for a bit by taking pics in one of their wings on display! Ofc I took a pic, after my carnival experience I NEEDED that flutter of angelic bliss in my life lol.

If you worry about crowds in the malls you can find some of your fave brands opting for store pickups where you can order online and pick up in store within 24 hours. That way you can always make an exchange on the spot if you don’t like your item or the size is off. Also a trick I learnt was to look for some of the items I like online and ask the store clerk to locate them in store.

I’ve been trying not to make my posts too lengthy and boring so I think I’ll cut this adventure here today! Don’t worry, I’ll be back to finish my escapade with some more New York highlights like the best museums and restaurant spots *gasps* As for now, I hope you enjoyed the influx of pics and my overly excited state in every paragraph haha!
