Life Update: New York City Dreamin’
Hey there dolls! Long time no chat? No like seriously, what hole have I been hiding in *inserts totally embarrassed face* It’s like I completely fell off the face of the earth! *yikes*…Luckily I actually haven’t, life just got busy, draining and did I mention busy?!!
Whew! In short I felt like life caved in on me and I didn’t know what pieces to pull at first to get out. So of course in my mind the only rational thing to do was yank at them all lol and trust me that just buried me deeper. Thankfully, I didn’t stay tucked away in the darkness and managed to get a relatively okay grip of my messy reality.
I have written and deleted, drafted, trashed and spiraled around writing a blog post for you guys for quite a bit. I hold firm to not half arsing my posts for you lot and decided to give myself some time. So here I am, up at half past too late, with words flowing from me like a gushing bottle of Prosecco lol (I wouldn’t have it any other way). The perfect time to get my Carrie Bradshaw on right? I think so too!
In the past few months I’ve had a lot to deal with, I’ve been slowly working at internal peace and practicing a good dose of self love. I have managed to stay afloat at work while having my list of duties and company portfolio expanded. I succumbed to the holiday mania, got bulldozed by fam drama and then some. Since you guys last heard me my 2018 was a roller coaster but it led me towards some bold choices and I wouldn’t have had it any other way (lol actually maybe a nicer way to those choices? But heck that’s all in building character).

Aha yes I do like mini rants, but you’re right…I know you clicked this post because you saw New York City crammed in the title So when did that happen? *whispers: it was part of the bold choices resulting from my 2018* Yup! Before I slammed 2018 shut I managed to squeeze a little magic out first. I took some well deserved time off from work and was able to start my year in the vibrant city of New York baby!! Which also means I got to spend my birthday and most of my Capricorn season adventuring in the vivacious city!
Of course, I’ve got a lot to say (type) so this post simply serves as a little intro into my Big Apple life, which I want pretty badly! *crosses fingers* Brace yourself for a few NYC posts will be spontaneously coming your way #SozNotSoz…This year has been off to a pretty gnarly start so cheers to keeping that same energy and speaking positive things into existence!
