Life is an exam for an average Indian student. Your 10th Board followed by 12th Boards each of these set of exams are followed by what one can call “The Great Depression”. It is too hot to step outside, and on a bad day it is too hot to survive even indoors! TV is dying a slow death thanks to Netflix and Amazn Prime. Then there is that one relative who wants you to forecast how much you are going to score. You in your mind are praying that your forecast of the question paper and the answers are right. Then there is a “Sharma ji ka Beta” who always manages to score an absurd percentage! No doubts there. Over the years, Sharma ji ka beta has become the unit of analysis for intelligence. No matter what you do, Sharma ji ka beta will always be one step ahead of you, miraculously.
Now that exams are over, there’s a lot of time in your hands to think about ‘what next’? Students who opted for science stream must be writing their entrance exams. While the others who are waiting for the results to apply to the famed Delhi University have a lot of free time. We have made a list of things that you can opt for:
Find a hobby and stick with it no matter how bad you are at it. Be it cooking, singing, dancing, painting, pottery, archery. Anything all at that catches your fancy. But just remember one thing, every senior in College will ask you your hobby. And if its singing or dancing or one of the performing arts, they ARE going to ask you to perform. Thank us later for the early heads up!
Take a Trip- Rather than peeping out of your window, it’s time to explore the world by stepping out of it. Plan a trip with your friends or family Plan a trip with friends to the city where you are applying to colleges. Tell your parents you are going to scope out colleges and o find a nice room to share!
Reunite with your TV shows- It’s time to breathe back life into your TV stimulated brain cells. Binge watch your favorite TV shows and movies while digging into a bowl of popcorn. Make a list of shows and movies that you might like and watch them when the previous lot is over.
Check off your Book list- This is for all the bibliophiles and their immense love for books. Check off as many books you can from your list. Take a membership at the local library and go on a book hunt.
House party!!!! – What time is it? It’s house party time…School is over and you all must be finding ways to adjust to a life without seeing your friends every day. It’s time to organize a house party and invite all your friends for a fun filled day. When you get into college and are sharing a flat on rent, house parties are a weekly affair. Get practicing. Like they say, practicing makes man perfect!
