Apples were found to be rich in flavonols, flavan-3-ols, anthocyanins and flavonoids, these compounds were associated with less weight gain among adults of age range between  27-65 years and  may  contribute to  the  prevention of obesity  and its potential  consequences.

Scientist concluded that regular intake of apples will help greatly in reducing total body mass (slimming).
