I recently learned you must get the whole package through their agency in order to book a package or they won't allow you to purchase a Disney vacation with them. My husband bought one of our three day park hopper passes at the Disney Store prior to the prices increasing. If you do book through the Disneyland Resort Travel Center, you can pay for your vacation with a credit card and Disney giftcards. Make sure its a regular gift card which can be used at Disneyland and not the "Disney Store" gift card. Best Buy sells the giftcards if you want to add it to your children's wishlists. Ask about making payments if you prefer to have a longer amount of time to pay off the trip. The agent will charge a percentage of the trip as a downpayment and then you have until a few weeks before your trip to finish paying off the debt.
Prior to finishing your transaction with the Travel agent assigned make sure to ask about any freebies they may have failed to mention. Back when I booked through DRTC it was called the Walt Disney Travel Company and they gave us a tote bag, lanyard, and suitcase info cards.
