All-new Maruti Swift 2018 launch date
The all-new Maruti Swift is all set to its launch at the Delhi Motor Show next month. The Motor Show, Auto Expo is to be held from 9th February, 2018 to 14th February 2018 at Greater Noida, near Delhi. The new Swift is built over the same light weight HEARTECT platform as that of Baleno and Dzire. As a rsult, the car will be 10-15% lighter and more rigid & agile. The new platform will make the car more safer complying with the global safety norms. It will also economize the car on the fuel adding to its mileage and response.
All-new Maruti Swift 2018 Price
The price of the all-new Maruti Swift is yet to be revealed but it is expected that it could be priced at Rs. 5 lakh (ex-show room). Earlier we expected the price of the new Swift to be lesser than 5 lakh but thanks to the new styling & features and Maruti’s aggressive pricing policy, the price appears to be around Rs. 5 lakh. The Rs 5 lakh price tag will keep the car next to the Baleno with considerable safe margin which is priced at 5.4 lakh. For the time being, let us keep our fingers crossed till the launch to get the exact price.
The all-new Maruti Swift will be sold via Maruti’s Arena dealership channel.
All-new Maruti Swift 2018 Specifications & Features
The all-new Maruti Swift will come with the same petrol and diesel engines as that of the outgoing version. The petrol engine will be 1200cc 4-cylinder naturally aspirated unit with 82 Bhp-112Nm configurations mated with 5 speed gear box with option of a 5-speed AMT. The diesel version will also retain the 1248 cc turbocharged engine with 74Bhp-190Nm configuration. It will be mated with similar 5-speed manual gear box as standard with option of AMT. However, the new Swift will loaded with more features like Maruti SmartPlay infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, airbags, ABS, new headlights and tail lights. The cabin will also be sportier and roomy with all together new interiors. The new Swift is also expected to offer mileage similar to Dezire which is 22kmpl for petrol version and 28.4kmpl for diesel. Or, possibly it could be further improved.
