Motorola is developing smartphones with self repairing screen.

In today’s world, Smartphones with broken Screen is the most irritating thing in a person’s life.

Breaking screens of smartphones are not a big deal nowadays, most of the smartphones comes with a LED display and which costs around half of the smartphones cost to repair or replace it. To remove this frustration Motorola is working on smartphones with the ability of self repairing it’s screen.

Lenovo owned Motorola, previously succeeded in bringing shatter proof devices to the world and they are planning to develop a smartphone with self Repairing Screen.

It was Motorola’s Patent, which was filed in February 2016 stating a idea about self repairing screen, which currently US Patent and Trademark Office made online.

Motorola’s concept behind self repairing screen

Shape-Memory Polymer will be used including thermal elements (like thermal detector) to detects crack and scratches in the screens.

Healing process will be done through heat treatment. It will be a slow process, likely to take 24 hours. Heating can be done through charging even body heat could also be treated to heal the screen minor cuts.

Through heating shape-memory polymer will take place into cracks and scratches and will repair it.

A smartphone with self repairing screen would be a engineering beaty but we ain’t gonna see it soon because it’s just a patent application by Motorola.

But who knows what’s coming in future.
