Government Approves 7th Pay Commission Recommendations

The Union Finance Ministry announced that the Central Government has approved the recommendations of salary hike and fitment factor – which will be applicable from April this year and will benefit thousands of families.

Today, on Tuesday, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced that he country to approve the recommendations of the 7th pay panel for its employees and implementing from April 2018. The recommendations includes a salary hike and raise in the fitment factor which will be given from this month. The official statement also said, “The delay in pay hike is due to lack of response from the Finance Ministry to the promise of FM Jaitley over the last two years before finally sending it to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for nod.” The central government employees have been waiting for a hike in minimum pay and fitment factor beyond the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission for more than a year.

Now that the 7th Pay Commission is approved, employees of the central government will start receiving revised salary as per the recommendations of the 7th pay panel from this month. Central government employees have been waiting for a hike in minimum pay and fitment factor for more than a year and it has finally been approved – bringing joy among the employees. Remarkably, Jammu and Kashmir has become the first state to approve the recommendations of the 7th Pay Panel for its employees from this month.
