Considered to be one of the most persecuted communities of world, the 1 million stateless Rohingya people who claims the Rakhine State in Myanmar to be their homeland – are forced to leave their homes and flee to neighbouring countries for life. Violence against the Rohingyas has killed hundreds of people and thousands over thousands are fleeing to other countries. The violence in Myanmar has cracked-down major concerns in Indonesia – one of the most populous Muslim nations of world. On Sunday, the Myanmar embassy at Jakarta was attacked and this action prompted the President of Indonesia – Joko Widodo to call for immediately stopping violence at Rakhine.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi was sent by Widodo to talk to the Myanmar Government about stopping violence at Rakhine which has grown anger in Indonesia. Protests in one of the world’s most populous Muslim countries – Indonesia has broken out and thousands of Indonesians are calling for their government to take active interventions and involvement as efforts to end the humanitarian crisis against Rohingya Muslim community in Myanmar.

As per Widodo, Marsudi will make ‘intensive’ communications with Myanmar and the United Nations to halt the violence and provide humanitarian aid to the victims, as soon as possible. Concrete solutions must be taken by the United Nations to stop killing of thousands of people in Myanmar and a ban implemented by Myanmar government on providing humanitarian aid to Rohingyas must be immediately lifted. The Rohingya crisis in Myanmar is one of the biggest concerns, not just for Buddhist-majority ground-zero country, but for everyone as humans – to learn to respect their co-earthlings and respect the value of others’ lives – and stop human genocide for the love of God!
