Lenovo Tab 4 series review: The perfect iPad rival?

Lenovo has just launched the fourth generation of its tablets lineup. Taking into consideration the response the earlier tablets of the series have got, the latest generation tablet, dubbed the Lenovo Tab 4 has a lot to offer.

There are three different variants of the Tab 4: one with an 8-inch screen and 16 GB of RAM, one with a 10.1-inch screen and 16 GB of RAM, and the most premium one with a 10.1-inch screen and 64 GB of RAM.

The 8-inch variant of the Tab 4 is available at just under $200 (INR 12,990) whereas the 10.1-inch variants carry a significant price tag on them. Certainly, the 16 GB variant seems to be the most appropriate choice as it packs in almost the same specifications, compromising a bit on the RAM and the internal memory.

The company has strategically priced it at $399 or INR 24,999 meaning it competes directly with the mid-range iPad which is available at a similar price.

The presence of the Home Assistant dock is a welcome feature which was missed a lot in the major flagship tablets of the current time.

The Lenovo Tab 4 has a “kids mode” which would restrict children from opening the stuff they are not supposed to. There is an altogether separate interface which is kid-friendly and safe.

The multi-window support and the presence of the keyboard make the Tab 4 all the way more productive. The stylus which comes with the tablet is very accurate and gets the job done pretty easily.

Lenovo Tab 4: Final verdict

There is no denying the fact that the Tab 4 is a great choice of a Tablet. The specifications are top-notch and so are the added features. The final question is, will it be able to compete with the iPad as far as the sales are concerned? Do let us know in the comments section below.
