There are a lot of people who prefer Wired headphone while some prefer the wireless ones. When you are going to buy one, then there comes the confusion and to sort it out we are going to mention the pros and cons of the Wired And Wireless Headphones. Everyone has different needs so it depends on your use that whether you should use the wired or the wireless headset. Firstly, the wireless headphones are costlier than the wired headphones and if your budget is low then you should not go for the wireless headphones as the cheap ones do not last long. Never go for a non-branded headphone to be sure that it lasts long.

We have mentioned the pros of the headphones, and you can easily understand the cons of the other type with the points.

Pros of Wired Headset

  • Better sound quality
  • Price is cheap when compared to wireless headsets
  • No power needed
  • Lasts long

Pros of Wireless Headset

  • Easy to carry, and no wire breaking issues
  • Can be used as wired headset with 3.5mm jack

While both the headphones have their own pros and cons, but with the clear pros given, you can easily differentiate between the two and select the one you need. If the price is a problem for you then go for a wired headphone without any second thought as the wireless headphones with as good quality as the wired ones you will have to pay double the amount. There are a lot of headphones available in the market, and you should definitely have a good look at the products before getting one. The type of headphones can be selected with the pros, and cons are given above. What do you prefer? Let us know in the comments section below.

Wired Gaming Headsets

A wired gaming headset has a cable that plugs into your PC. The interface can be USB or 3.5mm jack. Wired gaming headphones do provide better quality audio but that is only true if you are listening to high-quality music files. If you are playing games or listening to MP3 music then you can hardly tell the difference.

Wired headsets are great if you only play games at your desk and do not need to move around much. Compared to wireless headsets these are relatively inexpensive. This means that they are better valued for money. Due to the wire, mobility can be limited to the length of the cable.

Wireless Gaming Headsets

As the name implies, these headsets do not have cables and that can be a major convenience if you play games on your TV rather than on your desk. This is a great option for lounge gaming. Wireless headphones connect to your PC using Bluetooth or a wireless dongle that needs to be plugged into a USB port.

Conclusion

If you don’t mind the wires, then yes, wired ones sound better.

One thing that audiophiles always tinker with is cables. Only the best cables give the best sound.

The same is true even with earphones. Enthusiasts routinely replace the cables that their earphones came with, with supposedly better ones (though I’m not convinced).

The thing with Bluetooth is it can only transmit, and receive, data with limited bandwidth. Because of this, digital files are compressed prior to sending them up to the earphones, otherwise, they will stall and sound choppy.

Imagine watching a youtube video with slow internet. So the video doesn’t stop, you pick the lowest quality.

The same happens with Bluetooth, although the latest versions have higher bandwidth.

The one good thing about Bluetooth headphones is the built-in amplifier. Usually, this is adequate, and your cans won’t rely on your cell phone’s amp.

But I prefer a dedicated music player, a dedicated amp, and yes, my wired headphones.
