Smashbox Covershot Ablaze Palette Review
Am I the only one who loves finding new beauty products at Sephora? Well, Smashbox Covershot Ablaze Palette (retail price-$29.00) certainly caught my interest with its animated ink burst outer cover effect design. No wonder, just like its name implies, is truly blazing with eight sultry shades (Relaxed, Moccasin, Siesta, Delirious, Torch, Throwback and Dark Horse—Katy Perry much?) that I absolutely admire.
However, I did notice that the shimmery shades (Relaxed and Moccasin) were not as “highly pigmented” nor “long lasting” therefore would be best applied as an eyebrow highlighter. On the other hand, the remaining six accent shades in this palette presented some intense color payoff due to the fact it has a matte finish. Additionally, this portable and travel friendly gem can fit perfectly in your purse; no more worrying about the shades not lasting after an eight-hour wear just touch-up and go. Not to mention, it’s also suitable for any daytime or evening looks. Furthermore, I enjoyed the shade selections which I believe is practical and realistic every day utilizing the lighter shades in the daytime and deeper shades to contrast at night it’s blendable and they also complement each other for added versatility.

Despite the fact, this palette is one of seven within the Covershot series; which includes Golden Hour, Bold, Metallic, Softlight, Smoky and Matte will not stop you from creating endless looks. I had so much fun creating my own mini demo on my YouTube channel featuring this palette, it’s surprisingly affordable compared to other high end palettes currently trending on the markets. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this Smashbox Covershot Ablaze Palette plus I hope to add more of the Smashbox Covershot palettes soon to my eyeshadow collection. In the meantime, check out the demo video for the Smashbox Covershot Ablaze palette.
