After installing the PPA repository now let’s update the packages and repositories of Ubuntu 16.04 using below command to take effect.

Now we are ready to install the Rawtherapee free raw photo editor adobe lightroom alternative application. So let’s go ahead install the same using below command.

As you can see above we have successfully installed the Rawtherapee free raw photo editor package. To confirm the same refer the below command.

Now to open the application just type the command rawtherapee on shell prompt. Refer the command below.

To uninstall the application use the below command.
[email protected]:~$ sudo dpkg -r rawtherapee # Uninstall the Rawtherapee free raw photo editor application (Reading database ... 209509 files and directories currently installed.)
