Would you forgive a married lover who claimed to be single?

Big Brother Naija reality TV star, Bisola had no idea her co-housemate and love interest, ThinTallTony, is a married man until the end of the three month show. Once, while they were having a group chat in the house, Bisola asked ThinTallTony if he was single and the father of two confirmed in the  affirmative that he was single. If you were in her shoes, would you forgive ThinTallTony when you discover that he is actually married with kids? As usual, we bring the responses of some female entertainers on this issue;

I won’t take it lightly with him – Adokiye, Singer

I won’t take it lightly with him. When a man thinks he can play games with something as sacred as marriage, then the man is not responsible. A married man should be proud to announce to the world that he is married, then it should be up to the lady in question whether to get involved with him or not. A married man that lies about his marriage just to get ladies to love him or to show some swag, may be playing with his life and his portion of blessings he is supposed to obtain from God. Marriage is sacred and it’s an ordinance from God. I was a huge fan of ThinTallTony in the BBN house because he’s a great guy, but I believe Nigerians didn’t let him go far because he lied aboutunion. If he hadn’t lied, the price I’m sure would have been his.

No, I would not forgive him. ‘Nah thunder go fire am in the first place’. So, I’m going to quit the relationship with immediate effect and forget about him completely.

I wouldn’t want to see the imbecile in my life again – Nkechi Emmanuel aka Nurse Titi, Actress

A man who is married and lies about it is, in my opinion, a scum of the earth. Such a man practises dishonesty at the highest level. No matter the situation in one’s life, when it comes to matters of the heart, a man should always be truthful to a woman so as to allow the woman make a decision based on the situation, because once a woman’s mind is made up, there’s nothing anyone can do about it. So, if a man wants a woman, he should lay his cards on the table and say to the woman ‘even though I’m married, I still love and want you’’. Let the woman accept or reject his advances. ‘One man’s meat is another man’s poison’. In my case though, not only would I not forgive the imbecile for lying about his marriage, I wouldn’t want to see him ever in my life again. If he can cheat on his wife, so also will he do to me. He is a mere heart-breaker and deserves to rot in hell alive. I’m a one man-woman and my man should also be a one woman-man. This principle is emotionally and physically healthy in that, there’s no fear of heartbreaks and sexually transmitted diseases.

I will not date a married man and if I end up with one by mistake, I will break up with him because of his lies and deceit. We could still be friends, but I will not date him.

I won’t, he lied to get between my legs – Bose Oladimeji, Actress

No way, I won’t forgive him because he lied in order to get in between my legs and after everything, I discovered he is married. We would go our separate ways and that would be the end of the relationship. Since he lied to me from the onset, he will keep lying to me till the end of the relationship.

I will, but we will never be friends again – Vannessa Eta, Actress

Most times, when you break up from a relationship on good terms, you still end up as good friends. In this case, I will probably forgive him, but we will never be friends in anyway.
