Eyyo Makeup revolution, I think it’s pretty evident to see that I’m somewhat of a fangirl of yours. Annnnnnd today really proves it furthermore, because imma review another product by them *ho hum*
This week let’s delve into one of the brightest palettes I’ve seen from their ‘mid-range’ price range, the one that looks like a ravers daydream – the one that looks like Bungle, Zippy and George (go ask your mom) snotted all over and ran away giggling with acidic glee.
The Colour Chaos palette
This palette comprises of 12 ‘shimmer/metallic’ Shades, and 6 matte shades – As standard. Yet when I faffed around with this palette it was evident to see that some of the shimmer shades erred more to the matte side than shimmer (wkd and tomtom I’m looking at you) but regardless of this, it’s a MASSIVE bargain at £4! (Price correct 18/10/2017)
Now despite its colourful name claim, there are a few darker shades in this palette which make it pretty versatile to create smoky eye looks with a pop of colour, or you can go the whole shebang and My Little Pony shade them eyes UP gurrrrrrl. There’s a good variety of colours (although a nice non-neon yellow and pure orange would have been nice to see) for its price too.
Again, like the Girl Panic palette, the silver shade ‘Gleam’ is a clear winner here – buttery, highly pigmented and insanely foil like, it’s a gorgeous lid shade. Other deeper shades like ‘needed to…’ and ‘me three’ also pay off rather well.
The matte shades however…aside from ‘beyond real’ aren’t great at all. They’re aided somewhat if you apply an eyeshadow primer prior to application (I found a nude one to be better than a white, oddly) but other than that, they feel chalky and the pigment just isn’t as rich as the upper set of shades showcase.
It’s a great palette to have fun with, especially if it’s your first dabble with colour (like it was mine) for its price point.
Unfortunately I can’t find it via the Tam webpage but it is available on-line and instore at superdrug stores, and although this may have been the weakest palette I’ve used in the MUR collection I currently have growing, it’s still one of the prettiest!
That’s it for this week beautie-tooties, as always feel free to check out my social media channels for more and I’ll see (or type) you very soon!
