I know what your all probably thinking what a weird title however this blog post is about a Style which includes both modern and traditional styles both incorpated into one style. When I think about traditional I think about wooden furniture and ornaments. And when I think modern I think lines, white and glass objects. But what do you think when you put two together. So let’s begin this post, this style is a popular style choice which is seen in homes which owners love traditional styles but alse want a updated space with a modern twist. The moditional style element consist of the following:

1) The colour choices and schemes are neutral and warm which may be dreams, white, taupe, tan, khaki and grey. These colours both fit into a traditional and modern style category.

2) The neutral colour scheme allows you to add in more interesting textures. You are able to add different textures such as leather, chenille and rattan. When adding different textures you may want to try and add different dimensions to the space by blending shiny and matte objects and finishes to the room. Wooden furniture should be incorpated into the design and this should allow you to notice that it bring in a traditional vibe.

3) When designing the room try and keep the room a blend of both masculine and feminine objects to create a relaxed and comfortable space for both and also for others. When putting accessories in a room try and keep to the accessories to a minimum because you don’t want the room to became fussy. Placing wooden furniture into a room can make a room turn masculine so you should consider maybe adding in either soft carpets or add some drapes into the room.. This should then allow a balance of masculine and feminine.
