Seller Say: Used Car Lotus Esprit V8 Twin Turbo 2000, one of England’s most iconic automobiles. The previous owners reportedly only put 34,756 miles on the car over the last 16 years! The Lotus Esprit was built in Hethel, England between 1976 and 2004. The silver Italdesign concept that eventually became the Esprit was unveiled at the Turin Motor Show in 1972 as a concept car, and was a development of a stretched Lotus Europa chassis.
It was among the first of designer Giorgetto Giugiaro’s Polygonal "folded paper" designs. Originally, the name Kiwi was proposed, but in keeping with the Lotus tradition of having all car model names start with the letter "E", the name became Esprit. First introduced in 1976, and treated to a successful restyle at the hands of McLaren F1 stylist Peter Stevens in 1987, the Esprit has become part of the supercar scenery.
Super rare Lotus Esprit V8 Twin Turbo 2000 Coupe upgraded with high-torque ECU, aftermarket cat-back exhaust, five-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, AP racing brakes, four-wheel discs, power windows, power locks and heated side view mirrors, aggressive front air dam and tall SE rear spoiler, dual front airbags and active seat belts, upgraded glass popup sunroof and Alpine premium stereo.
