Toyota Corolla Outrun Other Cars in 2016

Record Sales Expected

In 2017, a record number of sales is expected globally. Sales increased drastically in 2016 and the trend is likely to grow this year as well. Tough competition is expected between Toyota Corolla and Volkswagen Golf. The rise in the global sales was due to the boom in the global economy. Per capita income increased in various countries and this led to increased sales. The sales are expected to increase by 3.4% this year but due to a sudden rise in income levels, this figure can increase also.

In the US, sales were increased, however, in Canada and Mexico, sales were below the last year. It is expected that purchases in the world’s second-largest auto market to climb to 17.55 million units as households continue to replace their aging vehicles. The replacement trend will also boost car sales in the Europe also. In 2016, above 14 million units were sold in Europe alone.

This shows how a big market of automobiles Europe is. Talking about Asia, sales in China are expected to incline but at a reduced pace comparatively to America and Europe. Sales in China are expected to increase by 35.85 million. In India, 2.17 million units are expected to be sold. In India, 2.12 million units were sold. The economy of India is progressing but at a reduced pace and that is why sales in India are increasing at a slow rate.
