Krystal Kiss Cosmetics Lipstick Review

I am so excited to review these lipsticks, I was sent these very kindly by the Brand owner Kerie before I went on hiatus and I have found it so hard not to use them as I didn’t want to blunt the bullets before I took my photos!

A bit of background, Krystal Kiss Cosmetics is an up and coming brand based in Wales, UK. It focuses on handmade lipsticks and liquid lipsticks using only natural and organic ingredients, their cosmetics are suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans. Krystal Kiss is very unique within its brand, because they offer a tailor made shade and texture service for a very affordable price. You can read more about the brand on the about page of their website.

This is the presentation box, it is so pretty and when you untie the ribbon the top of the box sort of pops open.

I was sent two of their lipsticks to review, Blossom Tree a lovely fuschia toned lipstick along with Coco Kiss a “your lips but better” shade, which was specially made nuder just for me.

First impressions, I loved the packaging. It is presented in a gift box which is very professional and luxury looking, you can really tell that Kerie has put a lot of thought in to her brand.

The packaging too is stunning and really makes the brand feel luxe, it is study enough to withstand the daily beating most items in my handbag endure yet feminine enough to look like a lipstick that I would want in my handbag. The bullet shell is a black shiny plastic with a quilting effect going around the bullet shell.

I was wary that being only natural ingredients used to create the lipsticks, that the colour payoff wouldn’t be great and boy was I wrong, with just one swipe you have about 90% of your colour payoff and then in the second swipe you have your colour. Literally in less than 10 seconds I can apply this lipstick and leave the house.

I like how there is no smell upon application of the lipstick or surrounding the bullet. The texture and consistency is smooth, non drying and the colour lasts for hours – I have also noticed that there is very minimal transfer on to cups and cutlery which is quite impressive as this is something the brand does not boast about.

I love both shades of lipstick, with both suitable for any occasion. I am hoping to purchase something from their liquid lipstick range and maybe even take advantage of their custom made shade service to make a birthday treat to myself!

Krystal Kiss are currently offering Christmas Gifts sets this year which I will be mentioning in my upcoming gift ideas post as part of Blogmas and also if you head over to their website and enter your email address to sign up for updates you will get a special 10% off your next order.

Let me know in the comments below what you think of the lipsticks and what custom shade you could not live without!
