For those of you have/have cats/kittens you will know this subject very well.  At this point, I won’t be going into how to train your kitten to use the Litter tray, but I’ll be sharing my experience of various cat litter products, well, two really.

Does this sight fill you with dread?! When I first had cats this was the sort of  cat litter that I used.  When you first get your little kitty, these litter tray’s are good because your little feline friend may be cautious about stepping into those more modern litter tray’s with the swing door.

So here we are, the basket, litter tray, poop scoop and cat litter….cat litter?! Oh no! Which one should I choose?!

Let me explain! A kitten that I had decided to try and feast on the Clay Cat Litter that I thought would be ideal.  The little monster would step into the flat litter tray, as shown in the picture, and I would hear, crunch, crunch.  I would run over and say, what are you doing you little mouse?! Then she would hop out and run off lol! I realised that for my kitten, having the clay cat litter wasn’t a great option.

I was terrified that she would choke and\or be poisoned.  So, I read up on different varieties of cat litter and hey presto, the http://amzn.to/2lpDMeB stood out like a sore thumb.(please note I haven’t used this precise variety, but it’s very similar to the one that I did use) My little kitten didn’t try to eat the wood chips and there wasn’t any smell as they are pine fresh.  I used to think to myself, are you sure that you went to the litter tray?  There is no smell!

In conclusion, I personally would recommend the wood chip variety as they are ideal for all sorts of reasons.  What cat litter do you use?  Please comment below!
