Hi lovely people.
You’ve probably heard the phrase ‘tidy space, tidy mind’ before and in my experience it really is true. I am naturally a very messy and unorganised person, and this is reflected in every aspect of my life. Until recently my room,mind and life were an absolute mess. A few months ago my boyfriend and I took to my room witb sevewral black sacks and had a huge clear out, we took everything out and after binning LOTS of stuff put the remainders back in to the appropriate place. It took 3 days but afterwards I felt SO much better, it was much easier to find things and I just felt so much calmer and my mind so much clearer. I’m not suggesting you necessarily go to this length, but just having a half an hour tidy up/organise here and there can be really beneficial.
As well as physically clearing out your space it also really important to de-clutter your mind.
The following ways have worked best for me;
- meditation/ mindfulness.
- writing things down,or some other form of release.
- Distancing yourself from situations /people that are toxic to your mental health and well-being.
These tips may not be any help to you as we are all different. However all of the above have been really beneficial to me and have helped me to improve my mental health and well-being and so hopefully they will be useful for someone else.
Lots of love, glitter and happy thoughts – Beth xoxo
