An Army buddy of mine recently turned me on to an online store. It was specifically created for Military, First Responders, and other government Agencies. It’s called Govx.

You do have to set up an account and prove that you are in the military (or a veteran) or a first responder. But it only takes a few minutes to do.

Is GovX Cheaper Than Amazon?
Yes sometimes they are. They just don’t have as big of a selection on items and they don’t have Prime shipping. But if they have the specific item you are looking for and you don’t need it in two days. You can usually save money on it.
Let’s look at some examples.
My EDC Leatherman is 17% cheaper on GovX over Amazon. The difference is that GovX only carries fifteen different Leatherman products. Whereas Amazon has over a hundred Leatherman products.
Here is another.
On GOVX it is 22% cheaper than Amazon. But GovX only has three colors available. Whereas the Yeti 45 on Amazon has six.
Sale Items on GovX
The real savings comes on the sales items. For example, as I was writing this post GovX was having a huge Vortex Optics sale. Items were around 50% off the normal retail price.
Every week they seem to have a different brand on sale. So it is worth checking out regularly.
GovX Ticket and Travel Discounts
Besides products, another discount available is for show tickets. You can buy discounted tickets for movie theaters, professional sports (like: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, UFC, etc.), Monster Jam, Theme parks (like: Disney, Six Flags, Busch Gardens, Carowinds, etc.), races, concerts, and music events. The discount level varies depending on the show.
Also there are all kinds of travel discounts. They don’t actually sell plane tickets. But hotel, rental cars, ski resort expenses, cruises and much more are available.

The amount of discounts on the site is really amazing. It seems to grow each time I come back to the site. If you fit into their customer base. It is well worth checking out.
