Review: First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask

I have incredibly dry and dehydrated skin. My face always feels tight and itchy and for the last week or two I have been doing nothing but trying to nail a skincare routine that restores my moisture barrier. As I cultivate my routine, I have found that the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask has been a lifesaver in adding extra moisture to my skin when I need it. Every time I use it, I see instant results and will definitely be purchasing this product again.

Purpose and Application

According to the bottle, the oatmeal mask is used for dry or distressed skin which is why I purchased this mask. It is suggested to use the mask 2-3 times a week, but I use it whenever I feel my skin is really needing the extra moisture.

I personally love the feeling of this mask as it’s very creamy due to the oatmeal. It’s slightly chunky, which would normally gross me out, but in this case, I find it soothing. The mask is very smooth and luscious and applies very easily to the skin. It doesn’t leave much of a residue and you don’t need a lot for it to be effective. When washing the mask off, it comes off easily and I can immediately feel the extra softness of my skin.

Like most masks, the oatmeal mask should be applied after cleansing. I apply it after cleansing and toning, but before my moisturizer. Doing it this way, I feel like I maximize the benefits of all of my skincare products.

Is It Worth The Price?

You can purchase the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask for 24 dollars from Amazon or Ulta after a quick Google search. If you use a thinner layer, this should last a decent amount of time. I personally will be repurchasing this product and will make it a staple in my skincare routine from here on out; however, I bet you could make your own oatmeal mask at home. I’m not savvy enough to do so and like the convenience of simply buying the product, so I will be sticking to purchasing the oatmeal mask. In my opinion, this is worth the price due to the lusciousness of the product and its effectiveness.

Who’s The Oatmeal Mask Good For?

The oatmeal mask is good for people who have dry or dehydrated skin. Anyone seeking to add some extra moisture to their skin while looking for a spa-like feeling will like this product the most. This product is fragrance free for those sensitive to fragrance and the product claims to be safe for sensitive skin. You can find the ingredients here to determine if there’s anything in it that you’re allergic or sensitive to.

I rate this product 5 stars for its creaminess and luxuriousness while also providing my poor dehydrated skin some extra moisture. My skin feels much less tight and itchy after using this product and I would recommend it to others who have similar skin issues.

I’ll see you next Wednesday!

With Love,

Meagan
