I’m all about dark Makeup so why wouldn’t I attempt a dark makeup look for Christmas? I decided to go with something icy because as of right now it’s cold where I live and I didn’t want to go with the cliche red and green.
I started by doing my usual foundation routine of washing my face, primer, color corrector, concealer, and finally foundation.
For the eyes, I applied a white base all over my eyelid and added a glitter/highlighter eyeshadow on top. Then I took a deep Blue Eyeshadow and outlined the outer corner of my eye and along the crease. I used a medium blue eyeshadow to blend everything together. All of my eyeshadows are Sephora brand, so they didn’t come from any specific palettes. I did a slight winged eyeliner to compliment the eyshadow, but didn’t go too bold as the blue is the crux of the look. I swept a bit of mascara onto my eyelashes to finish of the eyes.
I applied a soft pink blush to my cheeks and finished off with Kat Von D’s Lolita lipstick.
This look is great for Christmas time, particularly if you’re going out for the night or if you just love dark makeup. I definitely could have blended a little better, but that’s why I call myself a professional amateur.
Happy Blogmas everyone and I’ll see you on Sunday for gingerbread house making!
