Diary of a Beauty Beginner: Setting Spray

For those of you who have been following us from the beginning you know I am still a beginner when it comes to most things beauty. I have decided to journal my journey as I try out new things in the field of beauty.

For my first entry I figured I would start with a magic potion I have discovered recently. I was at a wedding at the beginning of the month and was introduced to something called Setting Spray. For those of you who don’t know this is a spray that you use to set your make up in place. I was shocked to find that after using the Kat Von D setting spray my make up survived humidity, sweat, dancing, eating, and drinking. The only evidence of my make up being lived in was a small smudge under one of my eyes.

So when I returned home I began researching setting sprays that were decent but with in my budged. The spray I used for the wedding was out of my price range, but amazon came to my rescue. On amazon I found a setting spray by a brand called E.L.F which is highly recommended by a fashionista friend of mine. After seeing the low price I decided to give it a shot.

Once it showed up in my mail box I ripped open the package and got to work with my make up. Once I have all of my make up on and dried (apparently it can be disastrous if you don’t let your mascara dry first). Following the directions on the box I held it away from my face and spritzed away. I let it dry then went about my day. To be honest after a while I forgot I was actually wearing any make up the longer the day got. So at the end of the day I was surprised to find that not only had my make up stayed on but it had stayed smudge free.

After using the product for a few more times I have realized that I cannot live without it and wonder how I lived back in the stone age of no spray. I highly recommend anyone out there considering setting spray, or looking for a way to keep your make up on your face throughout the day get E.L.F setting spray. It’s cheap compared to a lot of others, doesn’t dry or crack your make up, and does what it’s supposed to do.
