Do you want to learn Web Developing and start to create your own websites? Well, this article is really important if you just want to start website development! This article won’t cover every step that you will take to start programming, but it will teach you how you could start from the very beginning.
What is Web Developing?
Web Developing is a term used by programmers that is involved in developing websites. There are a lot of languages that you could learn to develop websites and every language has its role.
There is a question that I saw many times on the internet that says: “Is there any programming language that does everything?” The answer is simply no. Just think that someone went to a hospital to get a surgery done and the nurses are doing it instead of the doctor. It won’t be good, right? The nurse has its job to help the doctor and not to do his job. It’s the same in Web Developing!
Who is it for?
Web Developing is for anyone that has time to practice day by day. Actually, you won’t learn to code overnight. It is something that you need to have time for it! Coding is really fun and it also pays really good!
What are the tools that I need?
There are few things that you will need to start web developing. Don’t worry, if you have a laptop/pc, you will do good.
As I mentioned before, you will need a laptop. Almost any laptop would work even if it is really old (Unless if it doesn’t have an internet connection)
- xampp or wamp It is a local web host that lets you run and test your websites.
- A code editor such as Notepad++. I really recommend Sublime Text, it is has a good gui and great features!
Where can I start learning and what should I learn first?
Here is the part where you were waiting. A lot of people are asking themselves, Where should I learn web developing and which programming language should I learn first?
When I first started learning 3 years ago, I wasted time with a lot of resources until I found “The New Boston” It is a YouTube Channel that teaches everything about programming. Not only Web Developing, it also has Mobile, Desktop developing and more!
I recommend you to start learning HTML5, and CSS3. These are really important for Websites. HTML is a markup languages that lets you show up texts, forms, links, images, and a lot more! CSS3 is used along with HTML to style your website! They will look hard at first, but you will see them really easy later.
