The Kano Youth Organization in Abuja (KAYOAB) will begin the distribution of free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination forms (UTME) for the less privileged indigenes of Kano state.
The youth organization’s Public Relations Officer, Alhassan A. Bala in a statement said the distribution of pre-screening forms will begin this week at 10 centers across the three senatorial zones of the state.
According to Bala, the organization’s President, Balarabe Sarki Abdullahi explained that Kano south has three centers while Kano north has two centers. Kano central, however, has four centers.
The president said students with 9 credits can apply and will have to undergo a screening exercise where the most qualified students would be contacted and also be taken for training.
He added by saying that the organization will ensure that all candidates that score the university cut-off marks would get admission into any university of their choice.
“Apart from the free Jamb Forms, we are also making plans to support them with at least some amount of money for registration since they are less privileged,” he added.
