Hey guys!
How’s it going? I don’t want to be redudant but I have a feeling that this year will go by just as fast as last year. Where does time go? I Honestly have no idea. I wanted to share with you all some of the highlights of this month. This year I am trying to be more positive, so I won’t be dwelling much on the negative aspects of my life.
I think I’ve done enough talking so let’s get to it.
Daniel Fast
Doing the 21 day Daniel Fast was absolutely amazing. I was able to really plug into the things of the Lord and detox my body. I lost some weight and was able to jumpstart my healthy lifestyle. I highly recommend it. I will try to continue to do the Daniel Fast annually.
I was also able to finish my bible in one year plan. Honestly, I’m so grateful I have technically read every single book in the bible. This is a feat that I have always dreamed about.
New Internship
For those of you who don’t know, I started a new internship this month. I intern with WMFE 90.7 public radio. This is Orlando’s NPR (National Public Radio) station. The experience has been pretty pleasant so far. I’ve learned that radio is a lot more laid-back and less high-pressure than TV. I’ve also had the opportunity to be on-air and add some things for my portfolio. I’m receiving academic credit, and I honestly can’t complain.
New Friendships
I’m all about the work hard, play hard mentality. But I often feel like I put the play hard aspect on the back burner. However, this month I had the opportunity to spend more quality time with friends. I have also began to make new friends that I know will God-willingly be keepers.
I’m not going to jinx anything, but this year is going well so far. I know this is only the beginning. Even if I wanted to share some lows of this month, I genuinely wouldn’t know where to start. Yes, I have bad days, but I’ve learned to see the bright side of things. I’ve learned to appreciate and meditate on the things in life that are bringing me joy.
I can’t wait for what the rest of 2018 will bring.
