Even though it’s been years when Saddam Hussein was executed by hanging by America. But history has hardly forgotten him. In 2003, the US Coalition Force’s attack in Iraq overthrew the dictator Saddam Hussein. At the same time, both of his sons were also killed by the forces. The dictator who ruled the country for 24 years married thrice. He had five children. However, he had more than 80 mistresses according to the media reports for whom Saddam used to keep at separate palaces.

He had only 3 legal marriages, from which he had 5 children. However, all these children were from his first wife Sajida, whom he had never given the divorce. Sajida was his first cousin who was the daughter of Saddam’s uncle Khairallah Tulfah. After father’s death, Saddam and his mother were helped by Khairallah. Saddam had two sons and three daughters. He also had a son Ali from his second wife Samira but Saddam never gave him the legal status.
In 2003 after American forces attack on Saddam, Samira took his son and shifted to Lebanon and then finally shifted to Canada afterward. On the other hand, his first wife Sajida and three daughters Raghad, Rana and Hala too left the country. Raghad and Rana are settled in Jordan whereas Sajida and Hala are in Qatar now.
Saddam had sexual relationships with a number of women. According to a UN report, he had more than 80 mistresses. In 2003, a coalition led by the U.S. invaded Iraq to depose Saddam, in which U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair accused him of possessing weapons of mass destruction and having ties to al-Qaeda.
He was captured on 13 December 2003. On 5 November 2006, Saddam was convicted by an Iraqi court of crimes against humanity related to the 1982 killing of 148 Iraqi Shi’a, and sentenced to death by hanging. His execution was carried out on 30 December 2006.
