In the present era, it is arguably the most famous painting in the world. It is mysterious for the elusive smile on the woman’s face. The smile was so pleasing that it seemed divine rather than human, and those who saw it were amazed to find that it was as alive as the original. Such things make this artist exceptional in the world.

But ever wonder why rich people never bother to Spend Millions on art? After all, it is just a painting! But hold on the reason may surprise you! Works of art have drawn record-breaking prices at auction lately. Before “Salvator Mundi,” the most recent record-breakers were set at Christie’s in 2015: “Les femmes d’Alger,” painted in 1955 by Pablo Picasso, sold for $179.4 million; and “Reclining Nude,” a century-old portrait by Amedeo Modigliani, sold for $170.4 million. Means with the passage of time combined sales from the art make million into billion. It means the artwork always grows and sells more than its previous amount.
