Shahrukh Khan has been married to Gauri Khan for 25 years now. According to The Times Of India, last year, Shahrukh was a guest on The Anupam Kher Show – Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai where he described his love story, “I danced with her, she was very good. I asked for her telephone number and she was the first girl with whom I had danced or asked for their number.”

Shah Rukh also revealed the day he proposed Gauri. He said: “I had a Fiat back then and I was dropping her home. That is when I asked her if she will marry me and went off, I didn’t even wait for her to say ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ She must have said a ‘yes’ only because then we were married off.”

But the most interesting thing about his wedding day was disclosed by Shahrukh himself in an interview with Farida Jalal. Yes, the actor said that during the rituals everyone was guessing that whether he’d force Gauri to convert or change her name to a Muslim one.

Shahrukh jokingly told Gauri, “Put on your burkha and let’s read namaz now.”

The whole family got shocked but soon they realized that it was just a joke.
