Products For Really Dead Hair

I think everyone at some point has just about killed their Hair. I never seem to have learnt from my mistakes and have been bleaching, over processing, unnatural colouring and overheating my hair since I was about 13. My hair is in a terrible condition but I do not want to cut it off, so what do I do?

I use products that actually do what they say on the label, they fix your hair.

It’s taken me years and years to find good quality products at affordable prices for when I completely ruin my hair. My worst to date was getting my auburn hair a white grey colour. If you have that bit of ginger in you, you know that it’s difficult to even get your hair a reasonable shade of blonde. I spent a whole day bleaching and bleaching to the point where my hair was snapping off at the littlest tension. I then realised I had to somehow fix this If I didn’t want to shave it off.
I’ve made a lil’ guide of my favourite hair healing heroes.

TIGI Bead Head Urban Antidotes – This is a product I wish I had known about years and years ago! There’s a number of shampoos and conditioners in the Bead Head series, I am currently using number 2, urban antidotes. This isn’t even the most nourishing and loving to your hair, hence the number 2, but it is honestly magic. I use this as my daily shampoo and conditioner and after trying others, nothing feels as good. It leaves my Hair Silky Soft and super shiny. Since using this people have commented that my hair looks so much healthier. I do still have tough ends, as they are completely dead, but this shampoo and conditioner allows me to brush through them with ease. My next purchase will be number 3 to see what magic that will do. You can currently pick these up on Justmylook as a set for £13.75. This is a must.

Another really handy thing to have is a Wide Tooth Comb. Take this in the shower with you and brush through your hair when you have conditioned it. This completely detangles your hair and allows the conditioner to work on the whole strand. I found a noticeable difference in how this affected my condition of my hair and the ease of brushing through it once I was out the shower. You can currently pick up branded wide tooth combs for about £5 on the internet, looking on eBay lead me to some which were 99p, bargain right?!?

Hair masks are a god send, trust me. Below are two of my favourite masks. When my hair was in a terrible state I used these every other wash, as my hair has got better these are now weekly as recommended on the bottles.

The first one is Tresemme Reconstructing Deep Conditioning Mask. This stuff is like gold dust. When I first ruined my hair, this was available in nearly every supermarket and drugstore. Since then it has been discontinued and is only available on the Superdrug website. I absolutely 100% recommend this mask, even to people who use heat products every day. It makes your hair feel like brand new. You can pick this up on the Superdrug website for only £2.48. Stock up on this and love me forever. It helped repair my hair no end and I actually can’t believe it’s so cheap. It works just as good as products that are £40/50.

My other favourite mask is a more recent purchase from Tk Maxx. It’s a strange one I know. I bought this on a complete whim. Its the Theorie Helichrysum Nourishing Hair Mask. I had heard about it on the internet before but had never really checked it out. I bought it and hoped for the best. It’s great. It makes your hair silky soft and it makes me super happy that I didn’t pay the full price. It works wonders. I recommend using the wide tooth comb with this for best results. You can currently find this product on Bonanza Market for £12.49

My main aim while picking my favourites was to pick affordable products. I know how difficult it is to find a quality product for under £20. I think that these should honestly be worth so much more. I cannot stress enough how much they have helped my hair. Try them for yourself!
