Chitwan National Park is located in the terrai region of Nepal it is about 6hr by bus from Kathmandu and 4-5hr by bus from Pokhara.

Best time to Visit 

You can visit the park all the year round but October to December are the best months to see tigers and other wildlife because it will be end of the dry season and wildlife will come out of the waterholes.

Things to do 

Jungle trekking : If you have a habit of walking you can surely go for Jungle walking, you can choose different types to treks as per your requirement it can be a half day, full day, two day or so on, but its better to choose at least full day trekking because it will increase the chance at seeing Rhino or other wild animals.

Jeep Jungle tours : You can enjoy jeep jungle tours to explore the deep vivid wildlife of Nepal, if you get lucky you can see one horned rhino or a Bengal tiger it is better to take 2/3 days package to explore entire national park and to increase the chance to meet a Bengal tiger.

Elephant ride: It can be a fun and a new experience for many of us but this ride lasts for 1 or 1.5hrs only, they are run at three times once at early morning, second at mid morning and third at late afternoon.

Elephant washing: Enjoy bathing an Elephants, who wants to miss a chance to bath such a huge animal.

River Boating: You can go for a river boating if you want to see some water animals too, crocodiles are the main attraction.
