This book has got to be one of my favorites even to this day. Miss Fanny’s hats is one of the best children’s books I have ever read. It was always a favorite bedtime story of mine. My mom loved to read me this one too.
Occasionally I’ll ask her, “Hey, do you remember Miss Fannie’s Hats?” and she’ll smile and say
“OOooh, yes dear. I remember. That’s one of my favorites.”My mom loves the hats art style, and the kitties that try on the hats as Miss Fanny tells the story of the hat. The ending is bitter sweet, with her most prized hat being sold to pay for her church’s roof. But the Church has money left over to pay for a Rose Garden Surrounding the church.
