An appealing title ‘The World We Live In A Poetry Book On Societal Issues’ made me to read this book. The Author has used his poetry as a powerful source to showcase the societal issues through his writings. Each poem is about an experience which changed the people’s lives attached to it! Through his talent of choosing right word at the right time, the author brings out each person’s emotions beautifully and connects with the reader. The editing was flawless. The goal of the author is to make you relate to the experiences of  the characters of the book as human beings. The poems deal with a variety of societal issues like loss of parents, homelessness, domestic violence, sexuality, being sexually molested, adoption, PTSD, self worth through depression or body image issues, dealing with addiction to drugs etc. I actually felt connected with the book because of the flow of words! Kudos to the author for weaving words to connect them with reality! I would love to recommend this book to all the poetry lovers out there!
