Elliot Page has come out as transgender.The Oscar-nominated actor Elliot formerly Ellen Page, disclosed this in a statement he shared on social media on Tuesday that he is trans.

He also revealee that his pronouns are he/they.

Elliot had earlier came out as gay in 2014,he thanked loved ones for their support and the trans community for "your courage, your generosity, and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place."

He went on to reveal that,even though he was happy to be where he is today and happy to be queer,he still had fears about the future.

He stated that he is afraid of "the invasiveness, the hate, the 'jokes' and of the violence" that he could face in light of his announcement.
