The Great Debate of Anime – Sub or Dub?

Hello to all!

If you’ve watched Anime for any good amount of time, you’ll know about the burning question that our community keeps asking ; Sub or Dub?

There are people who will only watch Dubbed anime, no matter what you say the them, and there are other you will essentially praise the original Japanese version of a Series as if it’s a divine gift from God Himself.

There is only one thing I can say to this entire debate…

Just watch whichever one want to watch!

It’s that simple! Let other people watch what they want, and everyone’s happy.

Personally, I don’t care about whether a series is a dub or sub. Granted, I prefer the characters to speak in my language (English), but if there is no dub available, watching the sub is no problem for me.

Besides, there are a lot of anime series out there that will probably never be dubbed in the foreseeable future, so being adaptable works out in the long run.

Having said that, there are certain cases where a series itself lends to being dubbed. Such a case is Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure .

The first two parts of this series, Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, take place in England and America, respectively, and the characters grew up in these countries. Thus, it would make sense for the series to be dubbed, sense none of the characters have any reason to know Japanese beforehand.

What do you think? Are for sub or dub? Leave a comment below. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Until next time, Stay Awesome!
