Having recently moved to the American South, I am often overwhelmed by the gorgeous scents of the flowering trees and bushes on my street as they bloom. In April it was the gorgeous magnolia down the block. Last month, it was the roses. This month, I am in awe of the lovely Mimosa trees! The little blooms look like little Truffula Tree tufts (for those familiar with The Lorax) and they smell divine!
I know I've smelled Mimosa-based scents before, the most memorable being Mimosa Pour Moi, but I hardly remember the smell of such Mimosa-based fragrances as Summer by Kenzo and Champs d'Elysees. I haven't sampled Une Fleur de Cassie.
So my question is, does anyone who lives near Mimosa trees recommend a fragrance that really captures the true scent of the blooms/tufts? I've fallen in love.
