The world is full of spectacular places to Visit, and each top 10 list should be considered only as a starting point of the coordinate system. The Taj Mahal is often mistaken as the Domed Building seen in photos. In reality, there’s an entire complex beyond the main domed building (which served as the tomb), with expansive gardens, a mosque, and several more mausoleums and buildings made of red sandstone.

Quite possibly the most beautiful metropolis in the world, Rio De Janeiro intertwines the beauty of the natural world with the tempo of an urban metropolis, housing more than 6.3 million people. Here, you take in one of South America’s finest beauties on the crest of Guanabara Bay and the South Atlantic Ocean, while still embracing the festive and vibrant nightlife of Brazil’s second-largest city.

There have been human settlement here since prehistoric times, but before the Nabataeans came, Petra was just another watering hole. Between the 3rd century BC and the 1st century AD, they built a superb city, the center of a vast trading empire. In AD 106, Petra was annexed by Rome. Christianity arrived in the 4th century, the Muslims in the 7th and the Crusaders in the 12th. Petra then lay forgotten until the early 19th century.




 
 

5. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

 

 
Bora Bora emerged from the waters 3 millions years ago. Like all the other Polynesian islands, this volcanic island slowly sinking in the ocean. It currently presents particular geological characteristics ranging in between a high island and an atoll status.
