A British man accused of attempting to grab a police officer's gun in a bid to kill Donald Trump could spend up to 30 years in prison if found guilty.Michael Sandford, 20, from Dorking, Surrey, was arrested at a rally in a Las Vegas casino on 18 June.
He is accused of going for the weapon after asking for the presidential hopeful's autograph.
Sandford told police he wanted to kill the presumptive Republican nominee.
He has been charged with disrupting an official function and two firearms counts.
He remains in federal custody.
