Van Gaal: It is not always an honest world

Tags: van gaal gaal

After the recent 2-1 defeat by Sunderland, Manchester United boss, Van Gaal, is under a lot of pressure. Sunderland were fighting to stay out of relegation but managed to defeat the devils. Van Gaal is certainly disappointed with the result and openly admitted that the team might not get the top 4 position this season. The club lost 5 points in the last 2 matches, and with performances like these it can be really difficult to finish above clubs like City, Leicester, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Due to poor performances, many are blaming Van Gaal. Fans are rooting for a new manager and media has already thought of a replacement; Jose Mourinho. There have been plenty of rumors around about Jose joining Manchester United at the end of this season but Van Gaal refuses to believe these reports.

Upon asking, Van Gaal replied that he has had no contact, what so ever, with Jose Mourinho despite his previous working relationship with him. H said, “I wouldn’t expect Jose Mourinho to call me about that (rumors about Jose replacing Van Gaal). “No. In the football world that doesn’t happen. Nor will I ring him.” He continued, “If I did, then you think the stories are right and it is not like that. I am not thinking like that.”

Although Van Gaal admits that he is not naïve or delusional; he knows that there is no honor in managers and there is a possibility that Jose is approached behind his back.
