Why 4 Men Tried To Forge Uhuru's Signature

Four men are in hot water after being charged with attempting to forge the signature of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The suspects have been charged with forging Kenyatta’s Signature in a letter dated Monday, December 21, 2015.

The four were allegedly attempting to con Shailesh Kanani, the boss for Hot Point Appliances Limited. The letter was presented to Kanani by the four, who claimed that the private secretary to the President, Jomo Gecaga, had written it to offer Hot Point Appliances Limited a tender.
What was the alleged price for the fake tender with a forged signature? A bribe worth a cool KSh 15 million.
The four men who stand accused in the case have been identified as Ismail Ibrahim, Keith Lee Henney Bockle, Reuben Wasike Situma and Stephen Kimani, reports the Daily Nation.

The four have been released on a cash bond of KSh 100,000. Their case will be heard in court on Wednesday, April 13.
This is not the first time that someone has attempted to impersonate Uhuru. In August of 2014, a man was arrested by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers after allegedly signing documents that proposed business plans to parastatals using the signature of the President.
